Forensic Watermarking
Watermarking has been used for many years to identify ownership of printed
documents. Recently, techniques have been developed to identify electronic
documents and images using watermarks that are invisible to the human
eye. If these marks are tamper resistant, they may be used to assert ownership,
authenticity, and the path of distribution of the document or image.
Architectures for Forensic Watermarking
This paper introduces watermarking concepts and describes how
forensic watermarking is positioned in that framework. It then
develops a system model and identifies architectural alternatives
for forensic watermark implementation. Cinea RUNNINGMARKS™ is
